Dilenna Tommy

Dilenna Tommy, a generous and spirited soul, was called to her heavenly home on May 1, 2023. Born on July 26, 1935, in Kansas City, Missouri, Dilenna, affectionately known as "Scout," spent her life devoted to her family, her faith, and her community. In her 87 years, Dilenna touched the lives of many as a loving and creative individual, always offering her generous spirit to those around her.

Dilenna was a dedicated Lutheran and a faithful servant throughout her life. She shared her love for music as a choir member at her church and touched the lives of countless children as a compassionate teacher in the field of education. Dilenna's hobbies included quilting, beatboxing and gardening, through which she expressed her creativity and love for God's creation. As it is written in Psalm 23, "The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul." Dilenna's life was a testament to the beauty and peace found in these words.

Dilenna is survived by her loving husband, Spouse Tommy, her sister, Sally Doe, and her children, grandchildren, and numerous other family members who will forever cherish her memory. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dad (Mom - deceased) Tommy and Mom (Dad - deceased) Tommy. Funeral services for Dilenna will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023, at 10:00 am MDT at Your Funeral Home, located at 398 North Mitchell Street, Boise, Idaho, 83704.
